I LOVE to write books.
You can turn books into printed format, Kindle, iBooks, sell them as PDFs on your site or turn them into video products or even membership sites. My first book was for the Cisco CCNA IT exam and over a few years I did all of the above with it.
Here are a few of my books, I’ve left out the IT ones because you probably won’t be interested in them. My Amazon Profile Page will show you all my books.
The Small Business Marketing Bible
How to smash your competition with zero and no cost ideas and strategies to grow your business with less stress than you ever thought possible. This book contains everything I learned whilst growing a start up business over eight years and then two other companies. Designed for the small business owner who has very little time and no budget for expensive marketing tactics. I take you by the hand and show you how to craft a compelling marketing message which compels your niche to take action, locate and contact your niche and how to turn customers into raving fans who buy from you time and time again.
The book I’m most proud of. If you haven’t have a life crisis don’t worry, you will. The end of a marriage, bankruptcy, redundancy, major financial challenges, friends leaving you when you need them the most. This book tells the story of my challenges and the seven very special people who taught me how to cope with the crap life throws at you and bounce back.
Packed with lessons and exercises to help you not only improve your reading speed to at least twice its current level but also tips on how to dramatically increase your retention. This is just one of the many products I’ve had created by a freelancer who I paid a one off fee. You don’t have to write or create everything yourself.
There is a small army of writers, authors, programmers and other skilled individuals who are eager to take on projects for you. Check out sites such as PeoplePerHour, Elance and Guru.com.
A gritty true life story of the 12 years I served as a uniformed police officer in the UK. This book is a hard hitting account about what it is really like to serve as a police officer in the UK. Full of fights, paperwork, crazy procedures and crazy people. It is also a personal journey about how I coped with terrible bullying from managers.
During the time I served in the police I also met some inspirational people who helped me realise my true worth and what I really wanted to do with my life.
Okay, so yet another book I got somebody else to write for me. This book isn’t a bestseller but it does sell a good amount of copies each month so has paid for itself a few times over. I originally had it written for an internet marketing site I created but it never took off. If you want to learn the basics of HTML so you can create or tweak your own websites then this book will help you to do that.
You start at the very beginning and then learn how to create simple websites, work with tables, fonts and how to create a good design.
I know you probably won’t be interested in taking any Cisco exams anytime soon but I included this book because it was my first Amazon bestseller.
I did some research and testing around Kindle marketing, leveraged the lists I had spent time building and then mixed in some marketing techniques I’ve used before such as:
- Creating a compelling offer
- Putting a time limit on it
- Crafting a strong call to action
- Developing a powerful USP (reason to buy)
