guru-12Guru.com is another freelancing site, pretty similar in fact to Elance.com. I’ve spent around $90,000 so far on Elance.com and $50,000 on Guru.com.

I can’t say I find one better than the other but from my experiences so far, most of what I need I can find on Elance.com but this is usually web programming, book editing, proofreading and the like.

Guru.com leans more towards technical stuff like programming and I’ve got most of my technical writers here also. They do offer legal, writing and translation, marketing, illustration and the same stuff as Elance and other such sites though so do post your project here to see if you get some quality bids.

I’ve had good experiences with Guru.com so far and when things have gone slightly wrong with providers in the past they have been quick to fix the issue.

Have fun.

What is the ratio of quality bids for each site? Is there really a need to set up an account with both?

I find that when I find something good, I tend to stick to that. Thanks for the information, though.
