Inch By Inch it’s a Cinch
I applied this principle to my life and business recently and have seen dramatic results.?Instead of trying to make dramatic changes to several areas of my life I just looked at the areas which would make the biggest difference to my life for the least effort. Here is what worked really well.
I decided to check e-mail only twice per day – 10am and 4pm.
I decided to block my time out and work on one task only during block.
I worked only on income producing tasks from Tuesday to Thursday.
I cooked all food the evening before to prevent starvation and then over eating.
I checked my phone for messages twice per day.
The difference was about 80% more productivity and 70% less stress. My messages still got answered but I had far more time to do stuff and far more free time. I suggest you give it a try.
What one thing will make the biggest difference to you right now? A stop doing or start doing.

Wow I can’t imagine only checking email twice per day. That must say a lot about my dependence on urgency. I think I need to rethink my priorities.
It’s an art of life to take things slowly and move on inch by inch.
Break long process into pieces definitely works
This works pretty well for my son, who is autistic. His attention span is very short. Once I have his attention, we try to be as productive as possible before he becomes captivated by something else.
Get in. Get It Done. Get Out. Sounds like a plan.
Time blocking is a good way to be more productive. I tend to try to do too many things at once and lose time bouncing from one task to another. I have started to plan out the work day in chunks of time dedicated to one thing or another, and I feel much more organized and productive.
