The Voice in Your Head

I was surprised the other day to find out that one guy was torturing himself and had been for many years because he thought that he was the only one who heard voices.

I’m not clear on the origin of the voice. Some say that it is from adults who influenced us as we grew up, others say it is part of the collective unconscious (Jung). Whatever the origin, my best advice is that if the voice is telling you something you don’t want to hear then do your best to ignore it as you would an annoying person in earshot on a train.
