The Worlds Most Inspiring Movie

Forget ‘Way of the Peaceful Warrior’ or ‘Gandhi.’ If you want to see a story of somebody coming from nowhere and having to fight to get what they want out of life and to achieve their dream watch ‘Anvil! The Story of Anvil.’

Anvil the group consists of Steve “Lips” Kudlow, Robb Reiner?and Glenn Five. They live to play heavy metal and were a big name about 20 years ago. Now time has passed and while many of their?contemporaries?’made it’ they faded into obscurity and carry out manual labour jobs to make ends meet.

Their dream is to play their music to big crowds once again and the movie is all about the sacrifices they make and the challenges they meet along the way to their dream.

Watching it I really felt for the band members who play themselves in the movie. They are let down, ripped off, lied to and have their dream wafted in front of them only to have it taken away time and time again. Do they give up? Not a chance.

Do yourself a favour and watch this movie if you are ever feeling sorry for yourself.

Another inspirational movie based on the true life story of Chris Gardner is “The Pursuit of Happyness”. Brilliantly acted by Will & Jaden Smith which saw Will nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.
From Wikipedia: “It chronicles a series of soul-sickening failures and defeats, missed opportunities, sure things that didn’t quite happen, all of which are accompanied by a concomitant accretion of barely perceptible victories that gradually amount to something. . . . The Pursuit of Happyness is an unexceptional film with exceptional performances . . . There are worse ways to spend the holidays, and, at the least, it will likely make you appreciate your own circumstances.”

Yes, that is a great one too. He sunk about as low as you can get in that movie but turned it around. It hits you hard if you are a father.

    Cheers for the comment.

“It hits you hard if you are a father.”. Paul, I think that any parent would be devastated.

I’ll check it out. I like to watch things about people overcoming hurdles to achieve their dreams. I find it to be uplifting and inspiring.
